We need Mark Chester’s bio and the title of his talk on immigrants in America. Mary will contact the Cape Ann Amateur Astronomy Association about presentations on Saturdays  from 2 - 4 pm on Sept 30, Oct 14, and Oct 28. We need Laura Harrington‘s bio for her presentation on Nov. 19 from 7-8:30 Saira Austin is preparing a presentation about the prehistoric Pech Merle Cave in South West France. Susan is looking into a program about tiny houses - what they are, what is it like to live in one, zoning and other questions and issues. Mary is working on a presentation about the Gloucester Stage, it’s history, processes and choices.  She is talking to Mary Boylan about a spring date. Susan Oleksiw announced the line up for Saturday artists’ demos.  Nov. 4   Jane Keddy, silk painting Dec. 3 Leslie Wind, cards 2018 dates: Feb. 8, Pam Stratton, mosaics. Mar. 3 Sally Seamans (Tin Can Sally) Jill proposed Juni Van Dyke for a presentatin on the community quilts - a variety of techniques. Anna Catherine Amaclor,  metalsmith was proposed for a demonstration. The committee discussed ‘Vagabond Quakers’ by Olga R. Morrill but did not recommend for a program. The next meeting will be at 4:00 on Weds. Oct 4 at Jill Carter’s house.
