May Book of the Month

This month’s pic is Mira in the Present Tense by Sita Brahmachari.

Please don’t judge this book by its cover! The story is set in London which offers a unique cast of characters, the main one being Mira, of course! This is what I call a Kleenex book, surprisingly sad but with a rich mix of teen emotions in a period of two months. The story is part of a journal assignment for writing group, giving an intimate peek into Mira’s private thoughts about herself, her friends, her family, and her first love. A great read!
