The Children's Library has books, audio books, DVDs, videos, CDs, music CDs, kits, and magazines.
Our monthly programs during the school year include Pre-school Story Times Monday - Thursday mornings. There are also special programs and events for children and families featuring a wide variety of performing artists.*
The Sawyer Free Bookaroos, a group of parents and children, meet on the last Thursday of every month for good food, good talk, and good books. The Afterschool Book Group is held monthly. Call 978-281-9763, x. 18 for more information. We have computers with internet access and educational software for children.
| A Monthly Calendar of Events is available at the Circulation Desk in the Children's Library. |
*Constance T. Rhinelander Performance Fund
This fund is supported by the family of Constance T. Rhinelander, a Gloucester resident who was devoted to 13 grandchildren. The fund is the library's principle source of literary and cultural programs for youngsters.
Thousands of children have benefited from a great variety of performances made possible by this fund in Mrs. Rhinelander's memory.
